Oil pan baffles

Sounds like a good method to me.

I used some heavy rosin core solder to follow the contours of the pan , then traced the pattern to the aluminium.

I may be over thinking this, but what angle should the baffle be on?

All examples I've seen are parallel to the top of the pan. But the engine sits on an angle so the top of the pan and the baffle will be on an angle.

Would it make more sense to install the baffle so it is parallel to the base of the pan? I guess this could have fitment issues, and wouldn't trap as much oil (because it would mean lowering the left side rather than raising the right.

The one I did has the baffle as close to level as I could get it. The oil temp sender is directly below the baffle on the left side.
