Default Oil light quick blink when warm

So I tried to find a answer for this on google and all over the forum.
Couldnt find anything.

Here is my issue
2003 f20c 68k miles w/ K&n intake and test pipe, Daily driven - Spirited driving on the weekends.
My oil light will Blink one time for .5 - 1sec on a warm start up
and it doesnt always do this. It only does it after the car has
been driven up to operating temp and then shut off, and restarted.
The only other symptom I have noticed when it does do this is,
The idle will be slightly rough for the first few seconds after start up.

I dont know if this has anything to do with it, but the last time I drove for about an
hour straight and parked on a slight incline, came back to the car a hour later and started it up, this happened.
Ive checked the oil level cold and 10minutes after driving, oil level is normal.

Im using 0w-30 Amsoil motor oil, EA amsoil oil filter.

I might be over thinking this.. but I dont want my engine to die

If i'm not making sense, let me know.
Im just trying to figure out if I should be worried or not.
thanks

If it were me, I'd refrain from driving it and have an oil pressure test done. The harbor freight oil pressure test kit i bought worked fine for me. Check the pressures at cold startup and operating temps.

I'm new to these cars, but in most cases the oil pressure has to be fairly low for the light to come on at all, or simply a bad sending unit.

Hopefully some more knowledgeable owners will chime in.

How many miles on that oil filter? Last post recently similar to your issue, ended up being a bad oil filter pressure relief valve.

I would definitely try that first. You will only lose about 1/2 quart of oil. Try a honda OE filter this time

First thing I would do is put a mechanical gauge on the car. Cold pressure is going to be high and does not tell you much. You want the oil hot(200 deg. or more) and then take the pressure readings at idle, at 3000 rpm and up at 4500 rpm. Idle should be above 15 psi, 3000 should be around 75 to 85 psi and it should be a little higher at 4500 rpm. If your pressure is a little low throughout the rpm range you can increase the oil pressure by moving up to a thicker oil like a 0/40 or 10/40. Low oil pressure at idle is not a death nail for these engines, low oil pressure at high rpm's will kill them though.

Thanks for the advice. I noticed today when I went to start the car, after it had just been driven for 30min. The oil light blinked really quick just once again after start up. It's almost so fast if you werent staring at it you wouldn't see it.

I also live in fl and its been hot lately. The 0w-30 oil shouldn't cause a issue right? Ill probably buy the oil pressure kit from Harbor freight. Is there a write up for using the kit?
