And this is how it looks.

I guess the bolt is part #6.
I don't know if they replace all parts when Honda updated the oil jets bolts.

The updated oil jet bolt's provide more cooling and lubrication for the pistons.
Do expect a lower oil pressure at idle with the updated oil jets bolts.
180 kPa to 250 kPa.
There was a tread about that not that long ago.

I cannot answer that. I do know that the S2k has a heavy duty oil pump. Somebody with engineering experience would be more suited to answer that question.

hmmm good info, may be i shall upgrade the bolt on my car.

Magnetic drain bolt is just a small mod from J's Racing. They have it for the diff also. I never installed it thought. But this is different from the jet bolt for sure ... lol.

Magnetic drain bolt is a little pointless IMO, but you might as well do it for the small cost. There isnt much magnetic in the engine, and the drain bolt is at the bottom of the pan so not much will necissarily flow past it and get caught.

I believe you might lose a touch of pressure a the oil jets are squirting into an open end, therefore you lose a touch of back pressure from the oil pump.

This mod is a must, it was a recall by Honda.

They have it for the diff also.
The OEM diff drain plug/bolt allready is magnetic.

And in the diff its certainly not pointless

Back to the engine

What kind of engine oil were you using?

The drop in oil pressure with updated oil jets is also oil related (a bit)

(back to the diff.. if you're tracking the car on a regular basis I would recommend to stick to a straight 90 weight GL-5 or even a multi grade 75/85W-140 GL-5 for the diff.)

Engine oil is Mobil 1 full synthetic.

Diff oil is the Honda original. But thatnks for the info i will get that changed as well. I think i should maintain a paper with all the recomended lubricants to be used for Engine, Diff, Brake and so on.

My jet bolts were never upgraded, i will get the earlier oil pressure numbers and the current ones with drop and post them here.

Is there a list of recall items on this forum? I can show that to Honda regional office here and also to the dealership may be they can look into it and sort out few problems.

Ok guys, my crank bearings are GONE, they were anyways making noise and i think it was high time for them to give up. here is the pic for the oil sump with all the metal pcs.

The crank bearing seats have some scratches but i think TODA can work on them and install a new cam shaft.

This is the new engine, which doesnt have vtec pressure switch but i belive it can be easily installed? cos i do see a place for it which is covered/closed right now.

haaaa... sad.

Now working on knocking sensors, any input to connect those would be great. JD spec engine has two knocking sensors, how do i connect those with my old ECU?
