If you don't change the filter how do you get all the old oil out? Just take it off drain it and put it back on? First I ve heard to not change the filter at the same time

do you take the filter off or leave it before filling the car with oil?

Just leave it on and change the oil, if you want to change the filter every time you change the oil do that. If you don't track your car then I would change it every-other time I changed the oil.

great Thanks. Wish I knew about this when I got the car. Maybe I would if I read the manual, haha. But going by old school method, I just figure changing it out each time.

Is this normal for all other honda...GF has a acura tsx. Wonder if its the same thing.
