you obviously didnt get the point i was trying to make.
so do you check your oil level when you fill up on gas like it's recomemded?
pg. 119 of the manual. "check the engine oil level every time you fill the car with fuel".

must be a bitch to have to let your car sit at the pump 2 hours after you're done filling up to allow the engine to cool down so you can check the oil.

This is for people who would otherwise never check their oil. Obvious shortage of a quart or more could cause problems such as VTEC engagement or worse.

The difference in the amount of oil between hot and cold is going to be < a 1/2 quart.

Checking at every refueling will catch those obvious oil issues such as leaks or other engine problems.

For a car that is otherwise running normal, checking while it's cold will still give you a more accurate reading of how much oil is in the engine.

Slice it how you want..... but a settled engine will give you a more accurate reading than a hot one.

Actually, checking every morning or even every other morning would mean that I check it more often than when I get gas. So I'm actually checking more frequent that the owners manual recommends.

So NO... I don't check it at every refuel..and NO, I don't have to wait 2 hours.
