And once you get a new oil pan, put in a fumoto valve, so you never have to remove that bolt again. Not to mention the ease of changing my oil now. But DO NOT OVERTORQUE it!!!! The fumoto valve will break too!

All these temporary silicone fixes probably aren't the greatest idea. The continual cost of buying more oil to fill in could add up to the cost of buying a different pan.

IIRC, the bolts to put the pan on the block call for like 12lbs of torque...so...

Agreed--very important to tighten the oil pan bolts in the correct order or else it may not seal correctly. You'll want to torque the oil pan bolts to 12Nm (8.7lb-ft). PM me if you want me to send you a pic of the tightening order if you don't have a service manual.
