My dad is a mechanic and has a topside creeper. I have not checked if it will go low enough for the s2k as he uses it for working on larger pickups, but for back issues and prolonged issues under the hood I could see it being super helpful.

Also for those new to working on it, when leaning over the fenders, do not lean on the fenders. Thin sheet metal and it is very easy to bend it leaning on it.

When I adjust the valves, I put the car up on jack stands. It's easier for me than bending over to do them.

Oh yeah definitely and not to mention leaning can lead to unnecessary scratches on the paint too

Those topside creepers are nice! I'm curious either. Quick Google search with s2000 didn't yield much unfortunately

Got me wondering about building a custom topside creeper for S. 2x4 +plywood, etc. Doesn't have to be height adjustable, since for one car.

Thinking of a simple platform, a table like structure, that straddles nose.

Would need able to disassemble and store.

But maybe easier to just use an available topside creeper, and just lift S onto stands so it's higher. Would also solve creeper fits under low car.

If you make it then you can sell it to other S owners haha

Pretty sure most topside creepers can be lowered quite a bit and you can also of course raise the car. I recall seeing one specifically for cars though as well. Traxion makes one that is called the topside jr made just for cars. Not sure how good it is or anything but there are options out there.
