Default Oil leak

Well i have tried searching through and looking for similarities and though i have seen many oil leak threads, i have not found one that was not 9 yrs old without pictures or the car had FI...

the closest thing i found to what i need to check into might be this " be more suspicious of the oil feed hose for the SC, the VTEC solenoid bolts being loose or broken or the timing chain case seal"

but that is a quote from a post i found where the owner had a SC...

i will take pics when i get home but right now i just noticed some build up on the front of the block...i would say it is near the TCT. ill take some pictures. overall im not too concerned right now simply because the oil level was not too low. i did just top off and am at the top X on a warm check.

Thanks in advance guys, ive only had the car for about 3 1/2 months so i just want to make sure im not crossing the threshold into major work being needed...

EDIT: im going to clean the block this weekend and watch it heavily...if anything strange happens ill clue it in here, but i suppose it is not as bad as i remembered before work

I'll bet it's the chaincase, where the head meets the block.

Other possibility is the sprocket bolt o-ring.

Chain case resealing is a big job. It is usually only slight seepage and not feasable or necessary.

O-ring is easy. search first though.
