oil jet bolt replacement on a 01?
i've came across some threads on cylinder failure or engine blowing up out of nowhere without over-rev or low on oil( indicator did not flash on dash) events.
i have a 01 model and would like to know is it a necessary thing to do to replace all the oil jet bolts? and which upgraded ones to replace with?

I did the replacement for a car that saw track service, but I wouldn't bother if it's strictly street driven. The failures are typically seen after prolonged high-stress use, like what would happen on long high-speed drives. This is not likely seen on US highways.
If you want to do it anyway, it's not that expensive (about $50 in parts) and be very careful with threading in the new jet bolts.

Here are a couple of threads to check out that give some pretty detailed advice and discussion about the oil jet bolt replacement. I'ts not too complicated, but important to do correctly. It is imperative to have a good mechanical sense to avoid cross-threading this important component into the block.
