OEM, Why experiment?
I used a Pureone filter and it appears to be well made. I remember comparing it to the Mobil1 filter and the M1 looked cheaper. FWIW.

The Pureone I put in is a good filter so it all worked out. The dealer actually did right by me and swapped the wrong filter out for the correct one without a receipt and at no charge.
