Oil Filter Torque Question

That 7/8 turn after gasket touches method is an old ball park tightening range for someone that doesn't know there way around cars very well yet. Specific torque ranges imo are also subjective as all filters and gasket flex rates are not a constant.I've tightened anough filters over the last 40 + years to develop a good hand feel that works out like a charm.I'm quite sure I'm not the only. That said though ,if one feels more comfortable using a torque wrench to perform this task ,then that's fine too.Just sayin'. This is not a real delicate procedure for a wrench that's been around machines a lot.

I plan to change my oil tomorrow. If I use my hands, how hard should I tighten it? I was just going to tighten it as much as I can without using so much force that it will break something. Just a good grip and a strong turn after it tightens.
