Dude, your engine is fine...

Shite happens, no way you wrecked your engine. Run a road course for 10 minutes and you'll do more damage than you can do in 50,000 miles regular driving.

Fill it up, use a good filter and tighten it like a man so it won't loosen up!

For cleaning: some "gunk" or any degreaser and a power washer, while the car is running. Stay away from direct pressure on any seals, gaskets, electronics, etc.

By the way how many quarts did you add to fill it up to 'normal' on the dipsticks?

PS, I am a Honda factory trained tech.

Don't use "gunk". You will never get rid of the horrible smeel and it will come into the car.

Use something like Simple Green or Super Citrus.

I have used Simple Green to do about 8 engine bay cleanings over the past few years (various member's cars) and it always does the trick. With a slightly warm engine, lightly mist some water onto every surface you can see in the engine bay (except alternator). Then spray the Simple Green everywhere (again except the alt.) and let it sit for 5-10 minutes. Mist down the engine and wipe evrything off. Spottless!
