oil filter
I will be changing my oil soon for the first time at 3500miles, is it a good idea to replace the oil filter on every change, how do you guys rate the oem honda oil filter, thanks.

You should always change the oil filter with a brand new one when you do an oil change. It's good for the engine.
The honda oil filter is topnotch, one of the best, if not THE best oil filter for your Honda.
The only non-honda oil filter I've ever used is the Mobil 1 oil filter, which is also considered one of the best ... but arguable not as good as the Honda.

Certainly for the few bucks it costs every 3000 miles, it's not going to break the bank to replace it. And as for the Honda filter, there's been some debate about who actually manufacters these for the N. American market. Do a search and you'll find a couple of threads that link to some filter tests. I've used the Honda filter once, now I use the Purolater Pure 1. The Honda filter may NOT be the GOD of all filters as some think but if it appeases your anal retentiveness, then use only Honda.

If your Honda filters say Made in Canada, save a few bucks and buy Fram- it's what they are.
