Oil Filter

For anyone that's interested, I've added 5 filters, an Amsoil, HAMP, Vic (Japanese), Napa Gold and Napa Silver, to my filter page, as well as a shot of a used Mobil 1. I'll eventually cut open and add the Canadian and JDM Honda filters as well.
All (OK, most) comments/feedback welcome.

It kills me to think that the oil filter is smaller on my S2000 than on my lawn mower which of course is a Honda. VW & Audi has larger oil filters on their inline 4 which would leave me to think the filtration is better/higher but then again I'm not an automotive engineer...

Anyone know for sure if the Canadian ones are Fram? Internally, they look JUST like Fram. I know there is a Fram plant in Canada, though that's no indication in and of itself.

That's interesting; I knew USDM ones were Filtech, didn't know Filtech was a part of Toyo Roki. That might explain partly why the USDM filters use the JDM internals (save for the filter material).

Marcucci,
Why are the 'fuzzy' filter materials worse than a non-fuzzy material? I would have thought that it would help trap particles and give more surface area. Unless the fuzz is also on the outlet side of the filter material, comes loose and travels through the engine, I guess.
Thanks,
Tanq
