Default Oil and coolant

Im changing my oil just now and its to the point where it is slowing to a drip. I figure i can let the coolant drain at the same time. The oil fill cap is resting on top where it goes, I loosen the bolt by the valve cover for the coolant, take off the rad cap then open the coolant drain plug. Thats when i noticed the oil changed from a semi slow drip to a much quicker drip. It may Have been my imaginayion but i was wondering why one would effect the other? engine is stock with external oil cooler.

I dont burn any oil hardly at all. Even after 4 hours at the track (driving like a pissed off F1 driver lol) the oil level doesnt dip at all. Coolant is clean, no air in the system and no coolant in the oil.
