Oil Change without geting dirty
I hope I am in the rught place for this post.
My kids gave me a pnumatic oil extractor from Griot's Garage. I have used many of their car care products over the years and both my boys use their stuff.
When I got the unit I was somewhat sceptical, but I knew Mercedes, BMW as well as other high end cars have their oil changed this way. All I had to do was pull the dip stick, put the suction tube in, connect the air and turn it on. The next thing I knew the oil was coming out and in abouit 10 minutes it was done. I changed the oil filter from up on top, refilled the oil and it was done. I was not sure it would get out all of the oil, but I can honestly say that it got about 95% +.
Here is their web address: http://www.griotsgarage.com
By the way I know quite afew people that use a had pump version to change the oil in their boats.

I want to say there was an issue with somebody on this forum getting the suction tube stuck in the bottom end somehow. So just beware when putting the tube down there. Sounds like its pretty sweet though since I changed my oil the other day and dropped the filter wrench in the drain pan, filled with old oil

I had heard the same thing about the suction tube. They reccomend taking a rag with some oil on it and lubricating the tube, which I did and had no problem, As for brake bleeds, they include a sperate tube with a fitting that goes over the bleeder valve. That will be my next project.
