Oil change - forgot to put on crush washer

Hey man, just be glad you didn't forget to put the plug in. I actually did this once, talk about a moment of stupidity. Luckily the unfamilar sound of a quart of new oil pouring onto the groung reminded me that the plug was not in.

Always check your oil level before starting up just to make sure you have oil in the engine. and check it again after your first drive and fill up if its not enough in there. torque is 29 ft lbs.

well, if you leave the crush washer out, you also put a little sunk in portion in the oil pan. Aluminum= softer than steel.
Drain bolt = steel
Pan = aluminum
Crush gasket = softer, weaker aluminum than the pan.
I'd rather use a crush gasket for a gasket than crushing the small section of the pan to seal the oil in.
They're beteween $.18 - $.25. Cmon.
