Default Oil change - forgot to put on crush washer

Worse than reusing an old crush washer, I completely forgot to put it on! The new oil is already in.

should I?
1. Loosen and quickly put washer and bolt in before too much oil comes out and on my hand. Then refill lost oil. (leaning toward this much more than #2
2. F*** it. (not a very good option.. but it's still an option.)
3. Suggestions?

can you drain the oil into a clean pan and reuse?

Option 1.

Its as simple as keeping constant pressure on the screw as you are unscrewing it and as soon as the bolt is off stop the flow with some thing, and with other hand throw a washer on the bolt and with once again pressure screw it in.

Man that's gonna be messy.

GL lol

Definitely option 1. Had a mechanic leave the crush washer out of my Accord. Yes, it leaks.

I did this. It did leak. I drained it all out carefully, replaced washer , then put that oil back in.

Thumbs up

Anyone have a pic of the stock washer?

Is it copper?
aluminum?
stainless steel?
plastic?
How much do you guys tighten it? Do you make it as tight as possible with a normal socket and ratchet?
Thanks.

BTW, I just did my oil change and I simply used the washer that was already on there (iirc, it was aluminum).
