No other owners in your area that can give you a quick tutorial? I'm sure someone would be more than happy to show a newbie the ropes. It's a great experience, don't overlook it.

So my question is...do I take it back to the dealer?? or use one of the quick oil change places?

If you want to be sure that it is well done,do it yourself.
I could tell you lots of horror stories about dealerships.
When I went for my spark plugs recall, after changing the spark plugs, the mechanic put his box wrench on my firewall, forgot it there, and after the job was completed,he slammed my hood close on thre fu**ing box.
What do you think happened?

You got a new hood from the dealer?

I'm a big believer in those drive-thru oil change places. I love the fact that I can listen/watch them do the oil change. You get to see them put the right type of oil in, the right amount, etc... and no one else gets to drive your car.

My only issue was back when I had my RSX they made a bit of a mess with the draining oil underneath my car, but they cleaned it up for me no problem.
