Oil catch cans: worth it?
I'm looking into buying one of these. Just wanted to know if they were worth it or not. Also, who makes them for our car, and where can I get it?
Thanx,
Chris

Sorry, I did a search (oil catch cans) and came up with nothing. Started this thread. Then did a search (oil catch tanks) and got what I needed. It looks like a worthy investment. I wanna go with the Cusco but don't know where to get it. Any help?
Thanx ,

They keep oil from degrading the octain rating of your gas, varnishing the inside of your throttle body, intake manifold and the topside of your intake valves,. When you put in the catch can you should also put in the KrankVent. Check out my post at http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...threadid=151254

i have a cusco. I put it on to help out the intercooler and i believe it also helps prevent detonation a bit. I know most track people run them.

I don't really think the oil catch can is necesary unless you track the car. S2000s on the track will frequently blow huge clouds of smoke on hard right-handers because oil gets pulled into the intake manifold through the PCV valve.

Are they universal? Because when I see the Cusco Cans for other cars, they all look the same. But you know how they show "specific image for application not shown," or something like that. Just wanted to know if the one's you got were S2000 specific.
