Default Oil Burning at Track (KrankVents vs CatchCan vs AP

Hey all. I went to Harris Hill for an s2kca track day this past Sunday and had a blast. I was a little concerned when a cloud of blue smoke came out at the end of the long straight between corners 11 and 1. I later found out that due to the g-forces around turn 10, the hard right-hand banked the oil on the driver's side of the engine allowing oil to go through the PCV and route to the intake where it was burned up in the cylinders.

From reading I've found out you can do any of the following...

1) Install an oil catch-can.
2) Modify the AP1 valve cover baffling. (punch holes in it to allow oil to drain)
3) Install KrankVents.

I'm trying to figure out which one, if not all, to do. Is it necessary to have them all? Would it be wasteful or cause issues? I have a feeling that modifying the baffling and/or install the KrankVents won't fix the issue 100% because oil vapor might still get through. Any thoughts on which ones to pick?

You can see the smoke from my S in the video below...

I had this same issue in the mountains once, also interested to see if a catch can will eliminate the problem.

A catch can between the PCV and the intake manifold will solve the smoke-screen feature.

Absolutely. You only need a catch can if you can transition from threshold braking to trail braking to throttle-on out of a right-hand corner. If you putter around there's no need as the oil doesn't pool above the baffle from high G-forces. I get zero oil in the can over a week of street driving but a little under 1/2 a liter from 8 autocross runs.

I have a thread in the Racing forum with details of my two different installs. I started with a small air-compressor style air/oil filter, it worked ok but was just too small. A Vibrant catch can fixed both issues.

Another tip: Use oil/fuel line. Vacuum hose will soften from the amount of oil that goes through it. Then it will pinch flat/vibrate from the vacuum and sound like a huge kazoo under your hood when you're off-throttle. Super annoying!
