Oil burning question

Since the cylinders were honed you will likely find break-in period takes a bit of time, you consumption was pretty decent for the first OCI.

For break-in I prefer brief bursts of WOT in higher gears for about 10-15 seconds at lower to mid-range rpms whenever you can do it safely on the open road. That is the best way to break-in piston rings putting maximum pressure on them to seal with the cylinder walls. Break-ins that are too gentle don't work as well IMO. Other manufacturers actually list that in their owner manuals, I think Honda's recommendation is a bit too soft.
