Man, that sucks!

As much as I hate to say it, this incident may make $750 seem like a free ride.

Don't people read the owner's manual anymore?
Anymore??

With the excpetion of a few people around here, most folks don't ever read their owners manuals. I worked in the auto business (Chrysler and Lincoln/Mercury dealers) for almost 10 years before figuring out that it wasn't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In that time, I don't think we had 5 customers (probably an exageration but I'd bet, not by much!) that bothered to read the manual. One man told me to my face that "he" didn't want to read the manual, he wanted us to hand hold him through everything he wanted to know about the car.

Drive Safe,
Steve R.

In Georgia they read the driving test to people who can't read it for themselves, so it's not a given that everyone CAN read the owners manual.

Never got the owner's manual, but I had had absolutely no problems with the car until tonight and they all happened in a matter of 15 minutes.

Why did you pay $750 if the lady who was the person that hit you from behind and threw you into a wall? Shouldn't her insurance pay for it?

The manual doesn't say anything about not letting your girlfriend drive the car, so it wouldn't have prevented the missed shift.

I'm picky about who I let drive my car, because even the best drivers make mistakes sometimes. I truely hope your motor isn't broken as badly as it might be.

Good luck!
