OEMAir Deflector More Responsive vs. Cooling Plate
I was getting tired of the look and fitment of the AUT cooling plate so I decided to go back to the stock air deflector. I think it gives the engine bay a cleaner look and the hood closes much better too. It now feels that the engine is more responsive at lower rpms. I haven't changed anything other than the air deflector/cooling plate. I'm thinking the stock intake allows more air to rush in as you crack open the throttle, compared to the narrower cooling plate intake extension. Outside temps are pretty cool now so it probably isn't sucking much hot underhood air right now, perhaps in summer months it won't be as responsive as the cooling plate setup. I'm liking it right now though.

Dude, it's all in your head. you're not gonna "feel" a difference between the stock airguide and the AUT guide.

it could be I guess. The snorkel portion of the cooling plate does reduce the opening of stock box though as it tapers over the front support.
