There were some big changes made to the suspension and set up of the AP2. I don't know if putting in the UK alignment in an AP2 makes the car better or not. Someone with an AP2 and the UK specs needs to chime in and let us know what they think.

Those UK specs listed above should be the same.....some shops measure toe in mm/inches, some use decimal degrees, or degrees/minutes. Confusing, isn't it? I like the decimal degrees method myself....it seems the most cut and dry.

Anyway, I just lowered my AP2 by about 1.25" (~30mm) all around and had it aligned to the UK specs. I really really like the alignment. The biggest difference is the improvement in rear end grip. It's very planted and I can give it a little more power in a corner than before. It seems much more responsive at higher speeds as well. If you really push it, it has a bias towards understeer now, but with a little more tire up front, I think you can balance that out and gain more grip overall in the end.

Don't bother asking about tire wear, I just had this done. What I've heard before is if you're more aggressive with your cornering, you shouldn't notice much uneven wear. Obviously if you do 100-mile highway commutes all the time, it's not the alignment for that.

As I understand it, there are technically no UK specs for the AP2's.....this was done as an adjustment for the tail-happy handling of the AP1's. However you can use those specs on the AP2 as many of us have done, myself included, for great results.

Go get it dialed in
