I am thinking about doing a port mach to the oem header and ceramic coating it. would there be any thing to gain from it.

Ceramic coating it would be a good thing to do. I would be careful with that porting work though unless you actually know what you are doing.

Even through the OEM header seems to have good performance, it is made with sleeved construction so it is not the smoothest interior flow. At least one owner cut it open to remove the excess flange material and rewelded it with reportedly a small gain.

Port matching certainly will not hurt but do not expect much return for the work.

There seems to be only small gains to be had with header / exhaust tuning, but I would look at a quality aftermarket header before I put much work into the stock unit.
