Default OEM Hardtop question

For anybody who has seen, installed, or owned an OEM hardtop...What are the two black metal hangers under the back window that have rubber bump stops? I'll try to load pictures later but I figure they have to be for the factory hardtop stand but I'm not sure. Thanks.

Since Hardtopguy is in the business of selling hardtops, I imagine he has this one right.

I asked one of the guys at the meet down here and they are for pushing down the soft top. We removed them along with the soft top...which is for sale... thanks for the information though. If anyone is interested in seeing pictures i'll post some up

Please throw up some pictures anyway. I just purchased a hardtop from Hardtopguy and the more pictures I have, the better for my install process.

Thanks!

Yes they are for holding down the softtop.

PM me about the Top I may have an interested party. Does it include the Frame?

interesting thread... mine do not touch the soft top. i thought they where there to prevent damaging the top if the passenger operated the top. basically a stop from the top from moving.

i question the rattling theory because a regular S2000 without a hardtop does not have anything keeping the top from rattling. And it does not rattle at all, if your top is rattling something is wrong/loose.

not saying HTG is incorrect, i thought they were there for a different reason.
