ok, so i ordered my OEM Hardtop yesterday, and it should be here right after new year.....but here's the situation, Honda no longer has a 2001 Hardtop install kit available, they only had -02 and up, so i ordered it. my question is, and billman prob knows the answer.....does the defroster harness match up, or do i need to splice wires, or is there another harness available???

and yea, i did order the hardtop strikers since an 02 and up s2k already has hardtop strikers on the car from the factory and thus does not come in the install kit.

I don't think you'll have the harness to begin with being you have a plastic window in the 00-01.

I seem to remember you have to wire it up from scratch but I could be wrong.

I think you'll have to order the harness seperatly as the one supplied is for '03 and up.
Call Hardtop Guy . He knows exactly what you will or won't need and he deals in every thing you may need.

i went on the hardtopguy website and couldnt find anything really related to what i'm looking for, there was an install kit for 00, 01, and 02-up but it didnt detail what was different about them

To be sure you get exactly what you need, call and talk to him and ask him about any question concerning the HT. This way your not ordering with your fingers crossed and hoping for the best.
