Default OEM Cruise Control

G'day folks,

I am based in the UK, and have a righthand drive car, I really would like to retro fit the OEM cruise control, you Yanks have on your cars.

1. So anyone know what is involved
2. What parts do I require

Let me know

Kiwi

what we need to find out is which elements are electronic, and which elements physically bolt onto/into the car etc.

if someone can answer that and where we can get parts from, we'll be on a winner.

Well in the cabin, there is the brake pedal position swtch, clutch pedal position switch, the cruise control main switch and cruise control indicator light are on the dash, on the wheel is the cruse control set / resume / cancel switch (different on AP1 and AP2), behind the dash (I think) is the cruse control unit. Under the hood are the cruise control actuaitor and actuaitor cable.

The circuits for the AP1 and AP2 are almost identical. The AP2 gets the addition of a cancel switch. I don't have a clue about Drive By Wire...

I'm posting the circuit diagram for the 2004 but you really can't read it.

I can email it to anyone who wants it. As a jpeg it's 1.16MB in size and holds up well when you zoom in.

hey there i had an old JDM uk car and I now have a US car
The cruise control is not very advanced but works ok. It looks like it would bolt on. The cruise switch would sit where the "fog light" was on my JDM Uk's dash.

I dunno about the pedals and stuff. It keeps the accelerator peddle down when its on. When you clutch in or brake it turns it of.

Good luck anyways if you need help from anyone over here drop me a PM.

You can probly pick the parts up from the us for sale section if someones parting out or stripping a car.
