Default OEM Airbox Insulation

Here are some pics from 02NFR on his recent OEM Airbox Insulation Project.

Materials used:

-On intake box lid: Thermotec? (from Action Autoparts)
-On box sides,bottom,front: Reflectix foil/bubble wrap/foil
-On corner chamber of box and intake tube: Reflectix foil tape

Looks good, I wonder if you could insulate it with some sort of paint.

Thank you Zeniac for posting these pictures. I've been very pleased with the results of this little project. No matter how hot the engine bay is after spirited driving, the inside of the intake box stays nice and cool.

Sarcasm. For all the effort put into it, and sacrificed looks, a net gain of 2hp will be realized...
