2000 with 43k miles. TSB for clutch buzz

I wouldn't stress too much about it.

What RPM's are you shifting at? The higher RPM's you shift the easier it is for the transmission to synch with the next gear, Billman recommends shifting around 5500 and it works for me. But definitely change your fluid.

if you have serviced the vehicle with the dealer since day 1, maybe it wouldnt hurt to ask, since your a loyal customer-you can see if they will "goodwill" it for you

They might be willing to do the work for a percentage off based on it being a TSB. If you have a good relationship with them, they might be willing to work with you...although this fix is not an easy one to do (labor wise).

Have the dealership look at it to confirm that the issue stated in the TSB is present.

Request goodwill consideration

When you are denied, write American Honda a paper letter explaining why you think it should be covered.


I got the clutch buzz TSB done on my 01 with 29k miles about 6 months ago this way. Honda paid 50%
