Default OBDII wifi scanner / diagnostics

Anyone share what wifi device and/or app you guys are using for OBDII Scanning with your iPhone?
I've been looking at the PLX Kiwi wifi for iPhone. Seeing if there are alternatives and what are the pros/cons.
Also what apps are you guys using and how do you like it?

Im thinking of going this route as I need a OBD diagnostic scanner anyway.

Not exactly what you asked, but... I wanted to have something I could leave in the car instead of running the app on my iPhone, so I have Torque running on a Droid X synced to a PLX Kiwi bluetooth. I love it.

I use the cheap ebay knockoff of the PLX (about $80 last I checked). Works fine. Only difference is no on-off switch.

I Have heard good things about the wireless Kiwi/iPhone setup, but I prefer the convenience of a device that I can leave plugged in at all times so I have an Ultragauge in my s2k and a Scangauge II in my Genesis coupe.

Yeah it's definitely worth the price. In has some pros/cons compared to the scangauge which costs over twice as much. The main cons are that the buttons are on the rear of the unit and aren't as responsive as the Scangauge buttons. The scangauge can only show 4 gauges at a time whereas the Ultragauge can show up to 8. In my opinion, the biggest pro of the Ultragauge is the ability to set threshold alarms. For example, you can set an alarm to sound if the coolant reaches a certain temperature.

Those running PLX wifi/iPhone, when you check engine fault does it only give you the code or also an explanation?

Also those running the Scangauge/Ultragauge, does it give you a error code or explanation?

Im close to purchasing the kiwi wifi system.

I used an ELM327 with Torque on my Droid. Recently switched to the IP4S but haven't looked into an app for it yet.

I know the scangauge only gives an error code. I haven't pulled any codes with the Ultragauge yet, but I believe it only gives the code as well. This really isn't a big deal because all you have to do is either do a quick Internet search on your smartphone to decipher the code, or print out a list of codes and their meaning and leave it in your car.
