O2 sensors, why do they go bad?

I'd bet on a blown fuse with that list of DTC's, or a open wire on the circuit before the splice to the 02's.
Splice, as in the two o2 sensors come from one lead at the ECU and split into two (1 for ea. sensor)?

So my acg fuse blew again last night. no electical probs this time though. What would cause and ACG fuse to blow? The only thing attached to the circuit is a tapped A/F gauge. I checked my connections and there are no possible short circuits or anything

Hi all,
So the ACG fuse keeps blowing. I found that ACG stands for Alternating Current Generator.
What would cause the alternator to keep blowing this fuse? Anyone else have this problem, or heard of this problem before?

There is a short to ground before a load somewhere on the circuit. Does the fuse blow right away?
Here are the components on the circuit:
EVAP canister vent valve
EVAP bypass solenoid
rear window defog relay 02-04 cars
EVAP canister purge solenoid
Air pump control solenoid
ELD unit
Cruise control unit
primary and secondary 02 sensors
Alternator
cruise main switch
Gauge assembly on 00-03 cars
Any component can be shorted to ground causing the fuse to blow, or any short to groun in the wiring between all of them.
You need to unplug each component 1 at a time to isolate the short.
Look for any exposed wiring. The air pump control solenoid wiring has been known to get in the alternator belt when the car doesn't use the stock airbox. I'd look here 1st.

hey thanks slows2k.
The fuse does NOT blow right away.... when i replaced it friday night, i drove around just fine for about 30 min, pretty hard too. Then made it to work (90mi round trip) on monday w/ out incedent. Then, driving home the NEXT day, the CEL came on and blew the fuse.
I wonder if its somehow related to the battery problem the very first time...
