o2 sensor questions

My shop quoted me 250 dollars to replace my precat 02 sensor. Now let me ask you this, is it worth getting a universal o2 sensor at autozone for 68 dollars? The guy told me its not always the best to buy the universal sensors....

I've used universal. You normally have to cut up your existing O2 and use the factory connector on the new O2 (at least the generic I got was that way). The connection they supplied to mate the two didn't give me much confidence.
You ought to be able to find a cheaper direct fit online though.
So, I've used them and they can work. There's not much variation in narrow band O2 sensors. They all work pretty much the same way.
