NRG Hood Damper Install Problem - Need Help
the "piston" and the rod from the hood does not connect all the way causing it to bend and look very weak and unstable
here are some pics:
i spent alot of time turn and etc...but the stud in piston turns with the rod from the hood
i've tried search this problem before making a thread but came up empty. any idea or advice will be great thanks

I just received the same hood dampers, and have the same exact problem. I contacted the vendor and he never got back to me even though he said he would. I bought a hand held threader from the hardware store, it helped a little but I can't generate enough force to thread it further. I'm just going to buy some plastic piping and reinforce it.

are there any detailed installation instructions for NRG hood damper installation?
i'm not sure how they are supposed to be installed, which part goes where (i think i know this)
