i know this is an old thread and it came out when i was doing a search for diy in installing the nrg hood damper. you advised to pump the damper a few times before installing. i tried to compress them, but they don't seem to compress at all. am i supposed to use a lot of force to compress it? i don't dare to try too hard, worrying that i might break something...
