Default Notchy transmission

I have a brand new 2007 that I bought at the end of Dec 2007. The feel of the transmission is about the worst I have ever driven. I have 1200 miles on it, when I got it she had 12 miles on her (the dealer wouldn't let anybody take it out for a test drive) almost ever shift is notchy it's like forcing a half inch bar thru a 7/16 slot. No noises of any kind just a feel of forcing it. Anybody have any ideas before I bring it back to the dealer? I thought it was me but I've been driving for 40 years mostly manuals I can't believe it would take me this long to figure how to drive this one. I love the car but the shifting is ruining it.

If it is that new, back to the dealer the car should go...

Some say there is a noticeable difference, if with every shift, you fully push the clutch to the floor. Worth a shot.

Good luck.

thanks I've been babying it making sure that the clutch is fully depressed, even moved the seat forward to make sure. This is the only S I've driven, every other Honda I've had shifted like butter
