How many miles on your car? Have you change your plugs recently?
It could be a number of things, but you should rule out the obvious. In general, low compression will make it difficult to start your car. You might want to check the compression in your cylinders. This happened to me a long time ago with an Audi I had, and it wouldn't start when the engine was warm or when it was humid outside.
Other possibilities include a bad tank of gas or a bad fuel pump.

the aem 1052 and 1012 have this issue. it has to do with coolant temperature. i think if the coolant temp is above 210 it won't start. i used to have this issue the first summer i installed the ecu (i have the 1052). i would have to open my hood when i stopped for gas to let some of the heat escape the engine bay to help the coolant temp drop. it was a pain but i got used to it. it went away when i installed a mishimoto radiator.

yeah i used to have this issue with the 1052. But the engine I used it on had an electric water pump so it would cool down even with the engine off. If it becomes a serious problem you could trick the ecu into thinking the coolant temperature is something different with a switch of some sort.
