SpitfireS and I seem to be the only persons who report a differnce in diff. performance with higher viscosity fluids, I agree that the operation of the LSD is affected by viscosity. I'm not saying that translates into lower wear though, but the operation of the LSD seems more predictable and stable when accelerating through corners with higher viscosity fluids.
I wish I could comment, but I've been using the same oil for so long I don't remember if there was a difference from the factory fill.
yeah you really need to swap different fluids/viscosities back to back and then test them on the same road and driving conditions, that's how I began to notice a difference.

I used Amsoil in my differential and have been pretty happy with the results as well. I've always heard bad things about mobil one, so I've stayed away.

I will never forget a post by REDMX5 (RIP) where he talks about an imaginary wire wound around the steering coloumn and connected to the throttle making you a better driver.
It basically limits you to press the throttle during corner entry through mid corner and only allows you to press the throttle as much the wire unwinds during corner exit.
IOW it stops you from power-oversteering @ full throttle out of corners.
I still use this rule of thumb and it keeps my memory of REDMX5 alive.

The thing I've noticed was that during this increasing throttle input during tight corner exit the front would not stay turned in.
A slight throttle lift would make the front turn in again.
As if it was FWD understeer.
After checking all I could, like tire pressure, steering links, suspension links, etc. I went to a dealer and asked them to check the steering rack itself.
All they did was replace the diff oil, at the time they used the Honda Marine SAE 90.
That alone fixed it.
