Default Normal Oil Consumption.

Ive owned my S2000 since the beginning of summer, and the 3 oil changes I have done on it I have noticed that it consumes a decent amount of oil. I fill the oil to the "high" mark and when I go to change my oil its a little under the low mark. Is this normal?

you need to tell us what the oil change interval is. but AP1s do tend to consume oil especially if you're in VTEC a lot.

Check your oil more often, don't let it get that low.be kind to ya motor. What kind of oil u using? IIRC each X is 1/5 of a quart. 1 quart every 3-3.5 k ain't dat bad, heard of worse.

It's normal, so you absolutely need to keep on top of it and make sure you are always somewhere between the L and H on the dip stick.

i have read that up to 1 qrt of oil per 3-5k miles is considered normal. i own an ap2, have raped it all the time and am the only owner, i drove it nice for first 800 miles, and only changed the oil per the honda manual, every 5k miles. only recently when i went FI did i start to change it every 3kmiles or 6 months, which ever happens first. and i dont burn/copnsume any oil, so i dont agree with the car burning oil as considered normal. thats my opinion though.

Duh, because you own an AP2. Oil burning is considered normal on AP1's which have different, better, engines.
