Default noises after reinstalling rebuilt head

So I just rebuilt my head. New valves, retainers, seals, keepers, and all parts were installed professionally. I just put the head and everything back on. used TDC and everything. Timing looked dead on. oiled everything upon installation.

put oil in. coolant. started the car. and I'm getting a buzz from the head near the intake manifold. Sounds like the buzz of a weedeater when you give it gas.

Doesnt sound right at all. Car idles fine. but after you gas it, seems like it wants to die but then hops right back to idle.

Someone said it sounds like the intake cam's timing is a little retarded.
He was going off what i was telling him over the phone.

Any ideas or input would be highly appreciated.
thanks.

Could be an intake leak! Spray some carb cleaner around the bolts.

so, some of you will probably think i'm an idiot, but turns out it was the valve cover gasket.

im guessing when my friend was putting it on he snagged the bracket on the back of the head, which is an honest mistake cause we all know its kind of tricky unless youve done it a few times.

luckily majestic sent me an EXTRA valve cover gasket kit, i dont know if it was an accident or what, but turned out great!

running good now! i do think i need to take the valve cover off again and adjust the valves again though.
