Noise noticed at start up and with acceleration
I don't know allot about cars, and I'm new to this forum, as far as posting goes so it might not be the correct place to put this, and it may be covered somewhere. I've found that most of the issues I've come across with my s2k are very common and covered all over this site, and I'm very thankful for everyone's input, it sure has made my ownership experience wonderful.
When I start my car, at the end of ignition, when it comes to life, there is a noise, kind of like a ticking, and it doesn't sound totally out of place, sort of goes along with the noise of the engine, but it's extra, and when I hit the gas while sitting still, it's at the end of the peak of acceleration. I wouldn't say it's getting worse, it's just that I'm noticing it more now that I'm tuned in to the noise. My friend suggested it might be the alternator, but the car starts up fine and there are no issues as of yet.
I figure I'll have to wait for something to break before I actually fix it, but the noise is coming from that area where the alternator is, or the belts, maybe it's fine, and maybe not, the car is an 03 and has 60k miles on it. If anyone could shed some light, or perhaps can chat with me to narrow down the possibilities, I'd really appreciate it...

You might want to search for the timing chain tensioner threads here to see if that sounds familiar.
Sounds similar to the symptoms of a bad timing chain tensioner. Common problem, unfortunately.

I was hearing it today, and got a better description, it is sort of a buzz, sounds like a buzz more than anything, and it's definently an extra noise, flows with the revs of the engine, I'll search the timing chain tensoner (sp).
