Having issues that are stumping me. Had a bad chatter sound coming from the head. it also gives off a vibration that can be felt through the gas peddle Have investigated with PM Assistance from Billman and it is not the Tensioner.
Did a Leakdown test and came back good. Examined the chain, timing gears, and guides to see if the chain jumped, or was stretched, All seem to be in good shape and align properly from up top. Took the Valve Cover off and examined the valve train and saw no visual issues.

The incident that caused this occurred at a HPDE day at a local track, I miss shifted from 3rd to 2nd.

At this point next on the list is to drop the oil pan and inspect the bearings and do an oil analysis. But I really think(HOPE) thats not the issue either. Anybody else ever had issues of this sort or have any recommendations on where to look for issues?

Had a similar sound myself and it turned out to be rod knock

I had slightly decreased power. Hope that helps.
