can a knock sensor cause a no start condition since it trace back to the ecu when to fire spark? never put mine back b/c it broke when we took the motor out.
And made it not drive as good.

Dating back to one motor swap incident.......
After I swapped the motor... engine cranked.... but never fired up....
Looked over everything for a couple weeks....
It was a ground wire I forgot to attach... felt like a dumbass...
Recheck ALL the grounds....
Good Luck!

The car will crank even if the ecu is on fire
You are sure about the cams?
Grounds: one on the back of the head. 10mm head.
Two on the lower left side if the engine, close to the trans. 10mm heads.
I doubt your ecu went bad during a swap, unless you did a hack job and shorted something out.

im pretty sure bout the cams cause we lined up everything when we put it back in. check the gapping for the valve clearance and all the major internal components. will the cranks sensor have anything to do with it?

Crank sensor could surely cause a no start, but it's unlikely it went bad while sitting on the bench. It's in the timing cover, make sure it's plugged in.
It's very rare that a particular part on the s2k goes bad, and causes a no-start.
SOMETHING was overlooked during the build, or the install.
Was the pulse ring (black ring with points) installed behind the timing cover?
Go over the enitre harness. And fix your knock sensor while you are at it. It's there to protect the engine against detonation. Well, unless you like pistons you can see through

1 tooth should have an effect on compression. All depends on the engine. Can't hurt to check. If you've got like 150 psi on all four you know it's the cams.
