No pedal after clutch replacement?
Put the tranny back on clutch fork in, slave cylinder on and stuck the shifter on. When I depressed the clutch, it went to the floor and stayed. Is that something that will be like that until the car is started? I just don’t want to button everything up only to have to tear it down again. Shifter will engage all gears. When will the fork engage the throw out bearing?

The clutch pedal should come back up by itself.
The springs on the clutch diaphragm push the fork back...which then pushes the slave cylinder rod back...which moves fluid backward thru the CMC....which pushes the pedal back up.
Its a mechanical action.

Sometimes the bearing is pushed forward a bit during transmission install, resulting in the pedal dropping to the floor on the first shot (this happens to me frequently during clutch jobs)
-Be sure the slave ball end and fork are properly in place
-lift the pedal by hand, try again

Is there fluid in the clutch hydraulic system?
Is it leaking?
Did massive, massive air get in?

I have had the same thing happen on civic and acura TLs. Got so stumped one time, that I took it to the shop, where the guy bled a whole bottle of fluid through the system, and then the pedal started to have resistance again. IDK why this happens, and if it is even relevant to the s2k. I guess sometimes air can be very very difficult to get out of the system?
