Hey, i'm having a big problem, today the car was running fine, just got back from a 400 miles trip, so after changing the oil, i turn on the car and the oil light is ON, and the my gauge show 0 oil press.
I have aftermarket oil press by the oil relocation kit. My car is turbo. with build engine ( less 2000 miles on the build engine ) the build block came with the oil pump ( from laskey racing )
so the big question is how can i tell if the oil pump went bad, or the symptoms are showing the pump been bad?

I take it the oil level is good right? I've poured a quart or two into the pan from forgetting the bolt. That''s a very strange problem you have though. If it is a failure, you'll have to at least pull the pan and check the pickup for debris. If that tells you nothing, the timing chain covers have to come off to get to the pump. Check all our lines. You may try priming the oil pump with the fuel fuse pulled.

is so weird, the only thing i change form any other oil change was the oil filter, i always use the OEM, now i'm using mobile one.
before that the car was working just fine.
can the oil filter make any difference?
