no air pump! no cel!
i removed my air pump because it was damaged and my cel is giving me error code 60.
what i did to get rid of the cel?
1. removed my air pump
( only the air pump.. dont remove the solenoid and the 7.5 fuse)
2. tapped the socket of the air pump ( the one with the white striped green wire and black wire) with a bosch relay.
3. pin 85 of the bosch relay goes to the white wire, pin 86 goes to the black wire.
now the ecu thinks that the air pump is still there and does not give any cel.

What market car do you have?
Have you gone through 2 cold start cycles and still no CEL? If it's a OBDII north american market car, I'd suspect you've only got the air pump monitor fooled, and not the air pump flow monitor.
I'd bet on a CEL coming on on the 2nd cold start.

As far as I know, JDM cars are not OBDII compliant. I highly suspect this fix will not work on OBDII cars.
There are 2 monitors the PCM runs to verify the air injection is working. One is to check the air pump current draw, the other uses 02 sensor feedback to verify the additional air in the exhasut system.
Your relay trick may get the air pump monitor fooled, but it's not going to address the secondary air flow monitor.

I have heard before that JDM cars are OBDI, so now I'm assuming that is true, yes? EDM as well? I think the USDM cars are both OBDI and OBDII compliant (maybe that goes without saying) one atop the other. OBDI can still be seen in things like the blink codes for SRS and normal DTC's as well. I think the HVAC self diagnostic is still at the OBDI layer level also.

im not really sure if the ecu is obd 1 or 2 bt i think it is obd2. ecu code is pcx.
im not familiar with the flow monitor of the air pump (who cares about the flow since the air pump only functions during cold start and does not affect the car's performance) but as long as i wont spend money to buy a new air pump and i can do away with cel, this trick is fine with me.
