Nitrous Settings
I have nitrous on my car. I haven't used it yet because one of the jets was lost, so the lowest shot I can use is a 100 shot. I don't want to use it with that big a shot cause I think it is to much for the car. I was just wondering though, how fast would the 100 shot make my car in the 1/4 mile? I was discussing this my friend yesterday and we couldn't agree on how fast it would make the car. So I figured I would post this question. Thanks

Yeah I believe so. I heard that 100 shot will equal 100 hp at the wheels. Same goes for any other amount. Don't quote me on this but I've heard it more than once.
And I also heard that the F20C CAN handle a 100 shot if done properly.

yea...mid to high 12's ....and yea the 100 shot is 100 horsepower to the wheels....if the installation was done by someone who knows what theyre doing...the engine should be able to handle it, just dont go off with it

Dry or wet???? Direct-port or not??? These are important questions that need to be answered before you question can be answered. The 12.8 was with a 'proper' direct port kit I believe and there' s a HUGE difference between direct-port and others. If it's not direct port and you're doing a 100 shot with no progressive controller then you better start looking for a clutch and then other drivetrain items. Cheapest isn't always the cheapest. Maybe you should consider dropping a B16 or 18 series motor in there. Those F20C's ain't cheap.

It is a direct port kit. Also, I am not going to be running with the 100 shot, this was just a hypathetical (sp?) question. I plan on tuning the shot down and adding a progressive controller before I ever use it.

If I were you then... I'd go with an 80 shot. It's easy to figure out the jetting and with a progressive controller you shouldn't have any issues. I hope you're replacing the fuel pump... if not you should be. Assuming that you're a upper 13 sec. car stock then you should be low 13's or high 12's. Be careful with how you set up the progressive controller. Direct port nitrous will dump gobbs of torque through your drivetrain to your wheels. I think we already know the drivetrain on this car doesn't like alot of extra power. I would suggest setting it up on a window starting out somewhere around 20% at about 3000-3500 RPMS and go up from there.
