ok, question.

I pretty much have a stock MY05, exception of exhaust. (intake soon)
I have been reading and people recommend going 1 step colder on a stock engine. I am about to get some plugs but I don't really know if i should go one step colder or not, or even iridium vs platinum.

If iridium is fine should i get 7746 or 5068?
Also wtf is all this talk about crush washers and the spark plug getting loose? Do i need to worry about that with 7746 or 5068? Or should i get a different plug all together?

Unless you are FI, you won't notice a difference...OEMs are a really good and expensive plug that works well.

Okay, so if I'm buying the NGK 7746's.. for an MY05, stock N/A.. Do these need to be gapped? And if so, what??

Thanks so much!!! I'm SO LOST when it comes to spark plugs.. lmao!

If you buy them at a parts store, they'll be gapped at approximately the correct gap. Therefore checking them and adjusting the gap accordingly is wise. However, as mentioned before, be VERY careful when gapping these plugs so you don't knock the little platinum pads loose. Stock gap is .044".

i'm still confused about the iridium 7746 model...is that better than the oem 7772?

or just a publication error...since it was fixed in the 07-08 catalogue?
