Default NGK PLUGS...

OKAY, SO I PULLED MY PLUGS TODAY @ ~48K MILES.

THEY ARE THE PLATINUM NGK'S, NOT SURE IF THEY CAME FROM FACTORY OR NOT.

SHOULD I GET THE SAME PLUGS OR GO WITH IRIDIUMS?

ONLY REASON I FOUND WAS THAT IRIDIUMS LAST LONGER AND PRODUCE A BETTER SPARK.

SORRY FOR THE CAPS.

Use OEM NGK Laser Platinum PFR7G-11S unless you are going FI and need cooler plugs.

You won't notice a performance difference with the iridiums.

Iridiums aren't necessary, it's just money down the drain.

OEM is fine.

I've recently reached the 100,000kms (note km) and opted the OEM PFR7G-11S.

Unlike other bolt on mods (aftermkt air filter or exhaust), the wrong spark plugs can cause issue to the engine.

Go with the OEM spec.

yea that was a major issue for the spark plugs on the older models, where it didnt sit properly, since then I'm sure they have fixed this issue, or they wouldnt be selling them anymore.

both are oem spec, just one is iridium+ platinum, whereas the other is full platinum.

I went w/ the iridium ones, both look almost identical when I pulled the parts and compared them, only diff/ like I stated is the bottom portion of the plug where it carries the spark is iridium. Car runs a lot smoother now....
